What is a capsule wardrobe and why do I need one?

There are many benefits to having a capsule wardrobe. A lot of my clients like the idea of a capsule wardrobe to simply have a smaller selection of clothes to eliminate confusion, eradicate unsuitable clothing and to save time, ultimately, creating more interesting wearable outfits.

Buying the right pieces that are the best quality you can afford, a beautiful fit that suits your body shape, incorporating complementary colours, texture, prints and unique details that work for your personality and style can transform your everyday look from boring to soaring! Making these items work hard for you, with a tweak here and there, is the key to ensure you can dress them up or down for any occasion.

Ultimately, a capsule wardrobe is a carefully curated collection of clothes that suits your individuality, combine and coordinate well to make stylish outfits for every aspect of your lifestyle.

I will help you design the perfect capsule wardrobe for YOU. There’s much talk about what you should and shouldn’t have in your capsule wardrobe and it can be quite confusing. To be honest, I have come to realise a ‘one size fit all’ approach can be limiting.

Some clients require assistance with the basics, for example, they have a lot of clothes but there’s nothing that pulls everything together. Others gravitate towards the same colours and styles and want some inspiration and direction to explore new exciting outfits. Discovering new styles and gaining confidence to wear new outfit combinations is all part of the fun.

My main focus when designing a capsule wardrobe for a client is to understand everything about them and their lifestyle. Instead of creating one limiting capsule wardrobe, I like curating mini capsule wardrobes for each area of their lifestyle, which has worked successfully for so many clients. I still receive emails from them to say they are still wearing (and loving the clothes) we bought 10+ years ago, making the process incredibly rewarding and of course sustainable.
